Detailed itinerary

Day 1; pick up and drive to Ngorongoro crater

Your guide will pick you up from Kilimanjaro international airport and brief you about your safari. After your briefing, you will proceed to Ngorongoro conservation area where you will visit the Ngorongoro crater for an experience of searching for wildlife species such as the big 5 which include lions, leopards, elephants, rhinos and buffalos. You will have your lunch before descending 600 meters into the Ngorongoro crater which is the world’s largest inactive caldera.

After lunch, you will enjoy a game drive in the Ngorongoro crater where you will see wildlife species such as wildebeests, zebras, hippos, antelopes, gazelles, impalas, elands, waterbucks, cheetahs, hyenas and many others. you will also see bird species such as flamingos as you explore the crater. After the game drive, you will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2; drive to Ndutu area

After breakfast at your lodge, your guide will drive you to the Ndutu area where you will engage in more wildlife viewing experiences. During the calving season, there are over 8000 wildebeests which are born daily in the grassy plains of Ndutu. Many predators like lions, leopards and cheetahs can also be seen around the plains as they wait to prey on the unknowing wildebeests.

You will check in at your lodge before engaging in an afternoon game drive around the Ndutu area which is also home to many other wildlife species like elephants, giraffes, zebras, hyenas among others. The Ndutu area can be visited all throughout the year for a chance to spot various wildlife species. Dinner and overnight will be at your lodge after your game drive.

Day 3; drive to Serengeti national park

You will have breakfast at your lodge as you prepare to transfer from the Ndutu area to Serengeti national park also found in the northern part of Tanzania. You will have a safari experience in the Seronera area or the central part of Serengeti national park where you will search for wildlife species like the big 5 such as lions, elephants, rhinos, buffalos and leopards. You will have lunch before your afternoon game drive in the national park.

During your afternoon game drive in Serengeti national park, you will search for wildlife species such as wildebeests, zebras, antelopes, impalas, gazelles, giraffes, hippos, cheetahs among others. You will also see different attractions around the national park such as kopjes like Simba kopjes where you will spot lions. You will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight after your game drive.

Day 4; full day in Serengeti national park

You will have breakfast at your lodge as you prepare for a full day of game viewing in Serengeti national park. You will engage in a morning game drive in the national park and see wildlife species which are very active in the morning such as giraffes, lions, leopards, cheetahs, rhinos, gazelles, impalas, hippos, waterbucks, wildebeests, zebras, antelopes among others.

After having lunch at your lodge, you will have another game drive in Serengeti national park as you explore the open savannah and search for wildlife species. You will also enjoy the beautiful scenery in the national park and after this experience you will return to your lodge for dinner and to spend the night.

Day 5; drive to Lake Manyara national park

On the last day of your 5 days Tanzania tour, your guide will drive you from Serengeti national park to Lake Manyara national park where you will enjoy a safari along the treetop walkway. You will enjoy views of the Great Rift Valley during your safari in the national park. Your guide will drive you back to Arusha after your safari and drop you off at the airport or your hotel in Arusha which will bring your safari to an end.
