10 days Tanzania wildlife and cultural safari is a wildlife viewing experience during which you will visit Tarangire national park and enjoy looking out for elephants and also visit Ngorongoro crater and Serengeti national park where you will look out for the big 5 and also interact with the Maasai at Olpopongi and also visit Arusha national park for canoeing.
During the safari, your guide will drive you around the northern part of Tanzania as you explore different destinations where you will engage in game drives and explore the wilderness in search of wildlife species such as elephants, lions, leopards, buffalos, rhinos, cheetahs, wildebeests, zebras, antelopes, giraffes, elands among others.

Detailed itinerary
Day 1; pick up and drive to Tarangire national park
Your guide will pick you up from your hotel in Arusha and welcome you for your safari. You will continue your journey to Tarangire national park which is among the safari destinations found in the northern part of Tanzania. Tarangire national park is known for having large herds of elephants as well as ancient baobab trees.
After checking in at your lodge in Tarangire national park on the 1st day of your safari, you will have your lunch and later engage in an afternoon game drive. During your afternoon game drive in the national park, you will search for wildlife species such as gazelles, impalas, zebras, waterbucks among others as well as the various bird species. You will also enjoy watching the sunset in the wilderness of the national park and return to your lodge for dinner and overnight at Baobab tented camp.
Day 2; full day in Tarangire national park
After breakfast at your lodge, you will enjoy a full day experience of driving around Tarangire national park in search of wildlife species. Your day will start with a morning game viewing experience in Tarangire national park and you will look out for wildlife species such as elephants, zebras, hartebeest, waterbucks, gazelles, oryx, antelopes, giraffes, lions among others.
You will have lunch before engaging in another game drive around Tarangire national park and explore the wilderness of the national park in search of wildlife species while enjoying the beautiful scenery such as the ancient baobab trees. You will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight at Baobab tented camp.
Day 3; drive to Ngorongoro crater
You will have your breakfast at your lodge in Tarangire national park ahead of your transfer to Ngorongoro conservation area where you will search for different wildlife species and also explore the world’s largest in active volcanic caldera. The Ngorongoro crater which you will visit on the 3rd day of your safari was formed as a result of collapse of a volcano over 3 million years ago.
After having your lunch, you will descend about 600 meters into the Ngorongoro crater and you will visit Lake Magadi which is found in the center of the crater. You will also search for various wildlife species along the crater floor such as elephants, rhinos, buffalos, lions, leopards, cheetahs, wildebeests, zebras as well as flamingos along the shores of Lake Magadi. As you enjoy the beautiful scenery of Ngorongoro, your guide will drive you to your lodge for dinner and overnight at Eileen’s tree inn.
Day 4; drive to Serengeti national park
On the 4th day of your safari, after breakfast at your lodge, your guide will drive you to Serengeti national park which is also located in the northern part of Tanzania. You will enjoy searching for wildlife species such as the big 5 such as elephants, lions, leopards, rhinos and buffalos among others during your safari in the national park.
You will have lunch after checking in your lodge in Serengeti national park. You will also engage in an evening game drive in the national park where you will search for wildlife species such as zebras, lions, buffalos, elephants, giraffes, elands, impalas, antelopes, wildebeests among others. your guide will drive you back to your lodge after the game drive for dinner and overnight will be at Osinon camps and lodges.
Day 5; full day in Serengeti national park
You will have breakfast at your lodge in Serengeti national park as you prepare for your morning game drive around the savannah plains at the destination where you will look out for the various wildlife species which are very active during the morning and can be seen moving around the national park. You will also enjoy seeing the rock outcrops or kopjes such as Simba kopjes and Moru kopjes as you drive around Serengeti national park.
After your morning game drive, you will have lunch and you will also engage in an afternoon game drive and look out for wildlife species grazing in the open savannah of Serengeti national park such as elephants, lions, leopards, giraffes, cheetahs, impalas, cheetahs, gazelles, buffalos, elands, antelopes, zebras, wildebeests, hippos among others. You will have your dinner and overnight at Osinon camps and lodges.
Day 6; hot air balloon experience
You will wake up early at your lodge and you will be driven to the launch site where you will meet the pilot and have a short briefing. You will also watch as the balloons are being inflated and take off by dawn. You will enjoy views of the savannah plains of Serengeti national park. After landing, you will enjoy breakfast and after this meet up with your guide. You will also enjoy game viewing around the national park and look out for wildlife species like elephants, lions, leopards, rhinos, buffalos, zebras, giraffes among others. Your dinner and overnight will be at Osinon camps and lodges.
Day 7; drive to Lake Manyara national park
Your breakfast will be served at your and after this, you will be driven to Lake Manyara national park which is known for its tree climbing lions and also other attractions such as Lake Manyara which is a shallow alkaline lake that covers about two thirds of the national park is covered by water. You will also enjoy views of the rift valley escarpment during your safari to Lake Manyara national park.
After checking in at your lodge, you will have your lunch and later engage in a game drive in Lake Manyara national park where you will search for different wildlife species such as giraffes, elephants, impalas, hippos, waterbucks, antelopes among others. You will return to your lodge after the game drive and have dinner and spend the night at Nsya lodge.
Day 8; drive to Arusha and visit Olpopongi for Maasai experience
Your guide will drive you to Arusha after an early breakfast and continue to your hotel in Arusha for check in. you will also have a Maasai experience at Olpopongi where you will interact with the Maasai people and get to know more about their culture. You will also enjoy a traditional lunch during this experience after which you will return to your hotel for dinner and overnight at Tulia boutique hotel and spa.
Day 9; visit Arusha national park and canoeing
After having breakfast at your hotel in Arusha, you will visit Arusha national park where you will engage in canoeing and also enjoy seeing wildlife species like vervet monkeys, colobus monkeys among others and later return to your hotel. Dinner and overnight will be at Tulia boutique hotel and spa.
Day 10; drive to Arusha
After having breakfast, your guide will drive you to Arusha and drop you off at the airport for your flight which will mark the end of your 10 days Tanzania safari.
