RUAHA RIVER LODGE – RUAHA NATIONAL PARK TANZANIA
Ruaha river lodge is a mid- range accommodation situated on the banks of the Great Ruaha River in Ruaha national park (Tanzania’s second largest park). The lodge is situated in the perfect place and the most beautiful spot along the great River that gives tourists, travelers and holiday makers a chance to see wide range of wildlife all day especially during dry season roaming around the river while in you comfortable porch. The best way to travel to Ruaha national park from ARUSHA CITY is a flight that takes 5-6 hours to the close Msembe airstrip then 30 minutes to be transferred to the lodge. It’s very far by road taking about 941 km .
Ruaha River Lodge consists of 24 spacious and comfortable stone chalets Raised on a wooden deck stretching along river banks built in African Traditional style with natural materials of Grass thatched roofs, local woods with high levels of comfort.
Chalets are well elevated on a wooden platform , decorated with timber and furnished with tranquility and en suite private facilities of flushing toilet , hot and cold showers, mosquito nets , wooden chairs and tables , extinguishers, free bottled water in the rooms, free toiletries had wash basin , white curtains to mention but few . Each Chalet has a large Veranda out of the front , with a large Interior sitting areas and private balconies that give a stunning view of the River and the park . Rooms are well equipped with comfortable beds containing queen sized beds and wooden ceiling fans. There is a fire place pit with comfortable seats where guests relax especially after a safari as they share stories ,it also provides warmth during chill weather .Rooms are in different sizes with singles bed with individuals, doubles beds for couples /twins, and family rooming options with different costs ranging from 200$ per night and above. The room rate keeps changing as they go high during peak season than in low season.

A restaurant in the main building with the view of the park serving different cuisines both international and African- inspired meals that meets guests choice. Meals offered include Continental breakfast, picnic lunch and dinner in the main building served by well trained, friendly and welcoming staff, you can have meals in any place of your choice either veranda overlooking the river or in the dining areas. Bush breakfast are also offered while enjoying morning sunrises and bush dinners while overlooking the stars in the sky.
A-well stocked bar with variety of refreshment both alcoholic and nonalcoholic overlooking the spectacular view of the park and surrounding area.

Ruaha national park is the second largest national park in Tanzania after Nyerere national park found in the south of the central mid- point of Tanzania and west of Iringa Town . The park was established in 1964 and It covers the total area of 20,226 square kilometers (7,809 ) square miles The Park is most visited and has different categories of accommodations that include Budget, Mid- range/ moderate and Luxury/expensive accommodations that are convenient and affordable to any travellers, tourists visiting the park.
