RUAHA HILLTOP LODGE – RUAHA NATIONAL PARK TANZANIA
Ruaha hilltop lodge is a mid range 3 star accommodation found in Mapogoro on the slopes of ideremle mountain , 15km from the gate of Ruaha National Park Tanzania Region. The lodge is set on top of the hill, 100km for iringa on the Iringa- Ruaha main Road and 5km from Tungamalenga village overlooking the vast savannah plains. The best way to travel to Ruaha national park from ARUSHA CITY is a flight that takes 5-6 hours to the close Msembe airstrip then few minutes to be transferred to the lodge. It’s very far by road taking about 941 km. The lodge is convenient and business friendly to travellers, tourists. Holiday makers who want to explore the park with its beautiful views over the savannah plains.
Ruaha hilltop Lodge consists of 27 spacious and comfortable cottages/Bandas overlooking the vast savannah plains built in African Traditional style with natural materials of Grass thatched roofs, local woods with high levels of comfort. Cottages are well elevated , decorated with timber and furnished with tranquility and en suite private facilities of flushing toilet , hot and cold showers heated on fire, mosquito nets , wooden chairs and tables , free bottled water in the rooms , free toiletries, hand wash basin, 24 hour electricity to mention but few . Cottages has a large Veranda out of the front, with sitting areas and private wooden balconies that give a stunning view of the wilderness and surrounding areas. Cottages are well equipped with comfortable beds containing queen sized beds and perfect to suit your needs. There is a fire place pit with comfortable seats where guests relax especially after a safari as they share stories ,it also provides warmth during chill weather .Cottages are in different that suites solo travellers, family and groups with singles bed with individuals, doubles beds for couples / twins, and family rooming options ranging from 200$ per night and above. The room rate keeps changing as they go high during peak season than in low season.

Meals offered include Continental breakfast, picnic lunch and dinner in the main building served by well trained, friendly and welcoming staff, you can have meals in any place of your choice either veranda overlooking the river or in the dining areas. Bush breakfast is also offered while enjoying morning sunrises and bush dinners while overlooking the stars in the sky.

Ruaha national park is the second largest national park in Tanzania after Nyerere national park found in the south of the central mid- point of Tanzania and west of Iringa Town . The park was established in 1964 and It covers the total area of 20,226 square kilometers (7,809 ) square miles The Park is most visited and has different categories of accommodations that include Budget, Mid- range/ moderate and Luxury/expensive accommodations that are convenient and affordable to any travellers, tourists visiting the park.
