ROBANDA TENTED CAMP –SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK
Robanda tented camp is a budget accommodation found outside Serengeti national park in Tanzania, 10 minutes from Serengeti Ikoma gate, in the right path of wildebeest migration. The camp is affordable and in an ideal place that gives a stunning view of the Serengeti where wildlife and zebras can be seen and surrounding areasd. Robanda tented camp is under Maivora lodges and camps that runs and manages different properties across Tanzania. One can be at the camp taking approximately 6 hours drive from Arusha town to Serengeti national park and 1-2 hours to fly from Arusha to the close Fort Ikoma airstrip then few minutes to be transferred to the camp.
Robanda tented camp consists of 7spacious tented rooms with the breathtaking views of savannah and its wildlife reflecting traditional building style with local woods and stone. Each Tents has its own bathroom with bush showers and clean flushing toilets , candles ,solar energy available, hand washing basins, mosquito nets, tables and chairs and other facilities .Tents have its own verandas, sitting area and you relax while overlooking the spectacular view over the Serengeti plains, wildlife visiting the cam and surrounding areas . Tents are equipped with excellent clean and washed beddings with queen and king sized beds. Tents are configured as single double, twins and family tent. The camp has Cracking fireplaces where guests relax and share stories and experience of the Tanzania safari not only that it also provides warmth to the guests in the nights and during cold days. Room cost ranges from 150$ and above per night and price always goes slightly higher in peak season.

June – October are the best periods to be in Serengeti national park since its dry season , it offers best wildlife viewing when wild beast are moving seeking for pasture and water. It’s annually migration of wild beasts. The park contains over 70 big mammals like Buffaloes , elephants, crocodiles, zebras, lions, leopards, Impalas , Giraffes , antelopes mention but a few and 500 species of birds like; Flamingos , ostriches , grey breasted spur fowl, Kori bustard, secretary birds and many more which enables more tourists to visit the park and stay for along time. its 60$ to enter the park.
