MKOMBE’S HOUSE LAMAI –SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK
Mkombes’ house lamai is a private mid- range accommodation found in Tanzania’s northern Serengeti found in Wogakuria kopjes district with views over the Mara River and Lamai wedge. The house is found in the middle of the one the richest game areas Serengeti national park in an ideal place to witness the river crossings that take place between Julys to October. One can be at the house in about 6 hours’ drive from Arusha town to Serengeti national park and 1-2 hours to fly from Arusha to the close Kogatende airstrip then 15minutes to be transferred to the camp.
Mkombe’s house lamai is a private house for maximum of 10 people configured with doubles beds, singles beds and designed with family rooms in mind with the view of the wilderness reflecting traditional building style of grass thatched roofs and local woods . Rooms are well decorated, elevated with raised platform and furnished with en-suite facilities of Clean flushing toilet, Bathroom with hot and cold showers, safari bucket shower, solar energy available, Dressing Mirror, mosquito nets, tables and chairs, free toiletries and other facilities . ROOMs have verandas, sitting area and private balcony overlooking the spectacular view over Mara River, Serengeti savannah plains and surrounding areas .Rooms are equipped with excellent clean and washed beddings with queen and king sized beds. There are cracking fireplaces where you can relax and share stories and experience of the safari not only that it also provides warmth to the guests in the nights and during cold days. Cost of the rooms at the camp ranges from 200$ and above per night and price always goes slightly higher in peak season.

They offer Continental breakfast, picnic lunch and separate dining areas, they also serve out and indoors dinner options and bush barbecue diners overlooking the stars in the sky served by friendly and welcoming staff. You can have bush breakfast as you enjoy the breezes.
A well-stocked bar with good selection of both soft and hard refreshments include; beers, sodas, wines ,water , you relax in veranda which is the perfect place to enjoy the sounds of the African bush as you sip the cocktail overlooking at the spectacular views over the endless Serengeti plains, River crossings and surrounding areas, During evening u relax on terraces/sundowners while overlooking Serengeti savannah plains .

Serengeti national park is situated in Tanzania extending southern part of Kenya / that’s the Serengeti and Mara ecosystem in simiyu region . June – October are the best periods to be in Serengeti national park since its dry season , it offers best wildlife viewing when wildebeest are moving seeking for pasture and water. It’s annually migration of wildebeests.
The park contains over 70 big mammals like Buffaloes , elephants, crocodiles, zebras, lions, leopards, Impalas , Giraffes , antelopes mention but a few and 500 species of birds like; Flamingos , ostriches , grey breasted spur fowl, Kori bustard, secretary birds and many more which enables more tourists to visit the park and stay for along time. its 60$ to enter the park.
