Laba Siwandu Camp is a luxury accommodation found on the banks of the Peaceful lagoon Lake Nzerakera in the Northeastern sector of Nyerere National Park former Selous National Park in Tanzania region. The camp has been divided into two more Intimately sized camps both in the North and South The Camp is situated approximately 45 minutes from Dar es Salaam by Light aircraft and a 5-6 hours’ drive by road and 130km from west of Iringa Town. The Camp offers panoramic views over the lake and Africa blending nature for Tourists and travelers who want to explore the Park.
Laba Siwandu Camp consists of 13 elegant and comfortable en-suite tents offering single beds for individuals, double beds for sharing as well as family/group rooming options overlooking the great views of the lake and wilderness that reflect African traditional building styles with Makuti thatched roofs. Tents are well decorated, elevated on a raised wooden platform, and furnished with en-suite facilities of Clean flushing toilets, bathrooms with hot and cold running showers, solar energy available, beds wrapped with mosquito nets, comfortable beds, Dryers, satellites, white pillows and duvet, slippers, free toiletries, towels, complimentary bottled water to mention but a few. Tents have terraces, verandas, and large sitting areas where you relax while overlooking the spectacular view of the lake, wilderness, and the surrounding areas. Tents are equipped with excellent clean and washed beddings with comfortable queen and king-sized wooden beds. There is a fireplace where guests can relax and share stories and experience of the safari not only that it also provides warmth to the guests during cold days.

Nyerere Tented Camp is Africa’s largest and oldest game reserve situated in the protected areas in the South Eastern Part of Tanzania Region along the safari circuit. The park was designed by UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1982 due to its wildlife diversity and nature. It is well known as Selous game reserve covering a total area of 50,000 km squared perfect for travellers’ exclusive wildlife safari experience and the best destination for birdlife. The best time to visit Selous Game Reserve is during the dry season from June to October when the game clusters around the waterhole. The park harbors the largest concentration of elephants 110,000, 40,000 Hippos, 25,000 Impalas, 35,000 zebras, 4,000 lions over 150,000 buffaloes, and other wildlife species that include; cheetahs, Giraffes, hunting dogs, black rhinos and many more and over 440 species of birds like; lagoons, sandbanks, grey breasted spur fowl, Kori bustard, secretary birds and many more which enables more tourists to visit the park and stay for along time.
