IKOMA WILD CAMP – SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK
Ikoma wild camp is referred to as a mid range accommodation found in Serengeti ecosystem between Grumeti and ikorongo game reserve northwest of Serengeti national park Tanzania. The camp is close to fort ikoma gate and Grumeti river offering the breathtaking sights of Serengeti savannah and all the wildlife it has to offer since the camp is located in the great migration corridor. One can be at the camp taking approximately 8-10 hours drive from arusha town from Arusha on a dry weather road through Makuyuni, Mtowambu, Karatu Area &Ngorongoro crater then 60 minutes flight from Arusha Airport to Seronera/ grumeti Airstrip then few minutes to be transferred to the camp.
Ikoma wild camp consists of 15 comfortable and well raised tented rooms overlooking over the sweeping Serengeti plains reflecting traditional building style with local woods and comfort proximity . Tents are well decorated, elevated with raised platform and furnished with en-suite facilities of Clean flushing toilet, hot and cold shower with solar heated , minibars , solar energy available, wood chair and table, mosquito nets, tables and chairs , complementary bottled water , free toiletries and other facilities . Tents have verandas, sitting area and private balconies; you relax while overlooking the spectacular view over the wildebeest migrating, Serengeti plains and surrounding areas Tents are equipped with excellent clean and washed beddings with queen and king sized beds. Tents vary in different categories and sizes depending single, double, twins and family tent. The camp has Cracking fireplaces where you can relax and share stories and experience of the Tanzania safari not only that it also provides warmth to the guests in the nights and during cold days. Cost of the rooms at the camp ranges from 200$ and above per night and price always goes slightly higher in peak season.

A restaurant in the main building that serves different meals both continental and local cuisine that meets guests appetite ; Continental breakfast , picnic lunch and separate dining areas, they also serve out and indoors dinner options and bush barbecue diners while enjoying the stars in the sky. You can have meals from venue of your choice.
A well- stocked bar/lounge with good selection of both soft and hard refreshments like beers, sodas, wines ,water etc , you relax on the balcony which is the perfect place as you sip the cocktail or any drink of your choice while enjoying the spectacular views over the endless Serengeti plains , wildlife beast migration and surrounding areas.
During evening u relax on terraces/sundowners while overlooking Serengeti sunset from distant hills .

Activities to do while at the camp include; walking night safaris , Game drive where you spot wide range of animals especially the big five since the camp is in the great migration route, birding /birdwatching since the park has more species of birds , nature walks , hot air balloon rides etc.

Serengeti national park is situated in Tanzania extending southern part of Kenya / that’s the Serengeti and Mara ecosystem in simiyu region . June – October are the best periods to be in Serengeti national park since its dry season , it offers best wildlife viewing when wild beast are moving seeking for pasture and water.
