EMBALAKAI CAMP- SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK
Embalakai Camp – Serengeti National Park : Embalakai camp is referred to as a semi- permanent tented camp found in the heart of the Tanzania’s famous Serengeti national park. It is a mid range accommodation situated on the banks of river Nyabogati, 16 miles from Serengeti Visitor’s center seronera and 22 miles from Thach Kopjes. The camp is the home of more wildlife; you can easily spot lions, buffaloes, elephant and many others that always come to drink water at the river.
One can be at the camp taking approximately 6 hours drive from arusha town to Serengeti national park and 1-2 hours to fly from arusha to seronera close airstrip then 25 minutes’ drive to be transferred to the camp.
Embalakai camp consists of 13 comfortable and well raised tents overlooking Nyabogati River reflecting traditional building style with modern Comfort . Rooms are well decorated, elevated with raised platform and furnished with en-suite facilities like Clean flushing toilet, hot and cold shower , flat screen TV, minibars , solar energy available, mosquito nets, tables and chairs and other facilities .Rooms have verandas, sitting area and Private balconies you relax while overlooking the spectacular view over the baobab tress and distant mountains .
Rooms have excellent clean and washed beddings with queen and king sized beds. They are in different categories and sizes depending single, double, twins and family tent. The Embalakai camp has Cracking fireplaces where you can share stories and experience of the safari and it that provides warmth to the guests in the nights and during cold days. Cost of the rooms at the camp ranges from 300$ and above per night and price always goes slightly higher in peak season.
Embalakai camp offers different services and facilities which include . Serengeti national park is situated in Tanzania extending southern part of Kenya / that’s the Serengeti and Mara ecosystem in simiyu region . The park is among the popular and famous parks in Tanzania covering 5700 square miles stretching north to Kenya and bordering Lake Victoria to the west. June – October are the best periods to be in Serengeti national park since its dry season , it offers best wildlife viewing when wild beast are moving seeking for pasture and water.
It’s annually migration of wild beasts. The park contains over 70 big mammals like Buffaloes , elephants, crocodiles, zebras, lions, leopards, Impalas , Giraffes , antelopes mention but a few and 500 species of birds like; Flamingos , ostriches , grey breasted spur fowl, Kori bustard, secretary birds and many more which enables more tourists to visit the park and stay for along time. its 60$ to enter the park.
