Baobab tented camp Tarangire – Mawe Lodges : Baobab tented camp is referred to as a mid range accommodation (3 star) found inside tarangire national park in Tanzania. The camp is located 17 miles from women’s Project shopping and 47 km from lake manyara national park. The camp is convenient and set in an ideal environment for guests who want to explore Tarangire national park since it’s the best park with the largest concentration of wildlife per area and lake manyara national park .

You can be at the camp from Arusha Town which takes about 2-3 hours drive then 45 minute to fly from Arusha to the close Kuro airstrip then few minutes to be transferred to the Camp.
Baobab tented camp consist of 10 en-suite and comfortable permanent rooms that are built in traditional African style with a raised platform with modern comfort. Rooms are well decorated, elevated and furnished with private en suite facilities like flushing toilets, hot and cold showers , mosquito nets, free toiletries, televisions , wooden chairs and tables , private balconies, verandas and sitting areas ,you relax while overlooking the stunning view over the Tarangire river , wildlife visiting the camp and surrounding area .
Rooms are well equipped comfortable clean and washed beddings containing queen and king beds with ceiling fans. There are campfires at the camp that provides warmth to visitors during the cold nights. Rooms are in different categories and sizes depending on single, double, twin and triple/family rooms. Rooms cost ranges from 200$ per night and above, sometimes rate goes slightly high during high /peak season than in Low season.

Tarangire national park is considered to be the sixth largest park in Tanzania country found in south east of Manyara national park in the Northern part of Tanzania. The name of the park comes from Tarangire River that crosses the park and the river is the only source of fresh waters for animals in Tarangire eco system. It occupies the total area of 2,850 KM squared and its 150Km from Arusha. The park is small with twenty six mammal, famous with large herd of big five animals like; Buffaloes , elephants, zebras, enlands, Rhinos Impalas ,antelopes, mention but a few and 500 bird species like; yellow necked , helmeted, barbet, starling ,swift ,stripped swallows etc.
