Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Pick up in Tanga, Transfer to Same
Your guide shall pick you up from your hotel of stay in Tanga, and welcome you for the safari. You shall be briefed about the safari, and then proceed for a transfer towards Same, the nearest town to Mkomazi National Park. You shall arrive at the lodge in the late afternoon hours, check in and relax as you wait for dinner and an overnight stay at Mkomazi Hotel and camp.
Day 2: Game Drive in Mkomazi National Park
After a sumptuous breakfast at the lodge, you shall enjoy a game drive in Mkomazi National Park, one of the newest Tanzania national parks. Mkomazi National Park is a great wilderness to spot out various animals like rhinos and wild dogs. After your picnic lunch in the park, drive to Moshi town and be welcomed by the sweeping views of the Kilimanjaro Mountain. Check in at the lodge, relax as you wait for dinner and an overnight stay at Keys Hotel.
Day 3: Waterfalls Hike and Coffee Plantation Visit, Arusha
Wake up to a mouthwatering breakfast at the hotel whilst enjoying amazing views of the Kilimanjaro Mountain. Thereafter, embark on a waterfalls hike and Coffee plantation tour, which you shall enjoy whilst enjoying breathtaking views of the Kilimanjaro Mountain. Get to learn how coffee is grown, from the beginning to when it finally is in your cup. Drive to Arusha thereafter for dinner and an overnight stay at Masai Land Safari Lodge.
Day 4: Full Day in Tarangire National Park, Guided Walking Safari
After your breakfast at the lodge, you shall enjoy a full day in Tarangire National Park. Look out for various wildlife in the park, including giraffes, zebras, and large herds of elephants, among so much more. Enjoy your lunch box over a picnic in the park leisurely. Later in the late afternoon, enjoy a guided walking safari in the park for an opportunity to come up-close with nature and wild animals. Enjoy another game drive as you leave the park with beautiful sunset views. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge as above, and another game drive as you leave the park. Dinner and overnight stay at Karatu Tented Lodge.
Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater Drive
Breakfast will be served at your lodge as you prepare for your transfer to Ngorongoro conservation area and get to descend into the crater and you will visit Lake Magadi which is found in the center of the crater. You will also search for various wildlife species such as elephants, rhinos, buffalos, lions, leopards, cheetahs, wildebeests, zebras as well as flamingos along the shores of Lake Magadi. As you enjoy the beautiful scenery of Ngorongoro, your guide will drive you to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay as above.
Day 6: Departure
After having breakfast and checking out of the lodge, your guide will drive you back to Tanga and drop you off, which will mark the end of your Tanzania safari.
