Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Pick up and Transfer to Volcanoes National Park
You will be met by our company representative and transfer to Volcanoes National park. Enjoy the amazing scenic views of the rolling hills of Rwanda. Enjoy the Iby’achu cultural tour. Dinner and overnight stay at Hotel Muhabura.
Day 2: Hike to Dian Fossy Tomb and Karisoke Center
After breakfast, set out for a hike to the Dian Fossy tomb visit where you will spend almost the whole day hiking through the park, giving you an opportunity to explore the Volcanoes National park and other attraction sin the park including plant species. You will also visit the Karisoke Center hours learning about the famous gorilla lady with artifacts that belonged to her along with an impression of the Virunga ranges. This is a thrilling walk through the museum. After this experience you will return to your lodge where you will spend the rest of the day and have your dinner and overnight as above.
Day 3: Ellen DeGeneres Campus, Drive to Gisenyi
After breakfast at the lodge, you shall get to visit the Ellen DeGeneres Campus and learn of the conservation work being done here. Drive to Gisenyi thereafter from where you shall get to enjoy an optional boat ride on Lake Kivu. Dinner and overnight stay at Paradise Malahide.
Day 4: Drive to Huye and Coffee Tour
After your breakfast at the hotel, you shall proceed for a road transfer to Huye from where you shall enjoy a coffee tour, learn how it is grown up until it gets to your cup. After lunch, you shall proceed for a transfer to Kigali. Dinner and overnight stay at Step Town Hotel.
Day 5: Kigali City Tour, Departure
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast at the hotel and then enjoy a Kigali city tour where you will embark on a city tour visiting Kimironko market and the Gisozi genocide memorial site. Enjoy your lunch, and then transfer to the airport for your outbound flight, bringing your safari to an end.
