4 Days Tanzania budget safari is an interesting safari that will start and end in Arusha. The safari will take you to Lake Manyara national park where you will be able to view animals like elephants, buffaloes, wildebeest, giraffes, zebras, tree-climbing lions, different bird species like flamingos among others. From Lake Manyara national park you will transfer to Serengeti national park where you will be able to witness the great wildebeest migration and view abundant animals like elephants, buffaloes, waterbucks, elands, impalas and different bird species in the open grassland plains. You will wrap up your safari with a tour in Ngorongoro crater where you will be able to explore the Ngorongoro crater which is the world’s largest unfilled volcanic caldera that harbors different wildlife species such as the big five (mammals lions, leopards, elephants, buffaloes, black rhinos), other animals like zebras, wildebeest, hartebeest and colorful bird species.

Detailed itinerary
Day 1 of the 4 days Tanzania budget safari
Pick up from Arusha and transfer to Lake Manyara national park, on the first day of the 4 days Tanzania budget safari our driver guide will pick you up from your location, brief you about the safari and then transfer to Lake Manyara national park which takes about 4 hours drive. On the way you will have great views of the landscapes, Masai villages, local people among others and upon arrival you will check into the lodge and have an early lunch.
Afternoon game drive, after lunch your driver guide will pick you up from the lodge to go for an afternoon game drive in the park where you will have an opportunity to see animals like elephants, buffaloes, zebras, giraffes, wildebeest, warthogs, impalas, bushbucks, waterbucks, different bird species among others. If you are lucky you will be able to see the tree climbing lions lying up in acacia tree branches. Apart from Lake Manyara national park, the tree climbing lions can also be seen in Ishasha sector Queen Elizabeth national park in Uganda.
Day 2: Morning game drive in Lake Manyara national park and transfer to Serengeti national park
Morning game drive, after an early breakfast on the second day of the 4 days Tanzania budget safari, you will meet up with your driver guide to go for another game drive where you will be able to spot some of the animals that you might have missed the previous day. During the morning game drive you will be able to view predators like leopards, wild dogs, cheetahs, spotted hyenas before going back to their hiding area, view elephants, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeest, dik dik, giraffes, bushbucks, bohor reedbuck, warthogs grazing in the open grasslands with due, view primates like vervet monkeys, olive baboons, blue monkeys, different bird species like yellow billed stork, pink backed pelican, crowned eagles, flamingos, grey crowned crane among others. After the game drive you will drive back to the lodge for lunch.
Transfer to Serengeti national park, after lunch you will check out of the lodge and meet up with your driver guide to transfer to Serengeti national park which . On the way you will have stunning views of animals, beautiful scenery among others and upon arrival you will continue for an evening game drive where you will be able to see animals like buffaloes, elephants, elands, wildebeests, hartebeest, waterbucks, gazelle, oribi, impala, zebras, warthogs, lions, leopards, different bird species, views of the sundowner among others. After the game drive you will drive to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Morning game drive in Serengeti national park and transfer to Ngorongoro crater
Morning game drive, after an early breakfast on the third day of the 4 days Tanzania budget safari, you will check out of the lodge with your lunch box and meet up with your driver guide to go for a morning game drive which starts at around 6:00 am. During the game drive you will be able to see animals when they are still active such as buffaloes, giraffes, elands, zebras, elephants, wildebeest, waterbucks, bushbucks grazing in the open savannah and grassland plains, view predators like lions, leopards, spotted hyenas, cheetahs looking for a morning hunt, view the beautiful sunrise, see different bird species like silver birds, flamingos, sacred ibis, plant and tree species among others. During the game drive you will continue to Seronera valley where you will be able to witness the great wildebeest migration where over one million wildebeest, thousands of gazelle, zebras and other antelopes migrate from the south to the northern part of the Serengeti plains in search of fresh grass.
Transfer to Ngorongoro crater, after the game drive you will have a picnic lunch and then drive out of the park to start the journey to Ngorongoro crater. You will have great views of animals in Serengeti national park on the way and a stopover at Olduvai Gorge museum which is situated between Serengeti national park and Ngorongoro crater, during your tour at the museum you will have an opportunity to learn more about the early Hominin fossils of plants and mammals that lived in the area, know more about the history of Olduvai Gorge site, interact with a resident to know more about the importance of the area among others. From the Olduvai Gorge museum you will proceed to Ngorongoro conservation area where you will check into the lodge, have dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Morning game drive in Ngorongoro crater and departure to Arusha
Morning game drive, after an early breakfast on the last day of the 4 days Tanzania budget safari your driver guide will pick you up from the lodge to go for a morning game drive in the Ngorongoro crater where you will descend down the crater through the lush vegetation to the crater floor with breathtaking views of the elephants, buffaloes, leopards, lions, hippos, wildebeest, zebras, cheetahs, hyenas, views of the only remaining population of black rhinos, different bird species like flamingos and other water birds. After the interesting game drive you will drive back to the lodge for lunch.
Departure to Arusha, after lunch you will check out of the lodge and meet up with your driver guide to transfer to Arusha where you will be dropped at the airport for your departure flight or dropped at any place of convenience.
