Detailed itinerary
Day 1; pick up and drive to Arusha national park
You will be picked up by your guide at the airport and you will be welcomed and have a short briefing about your 4 days Ngorongoro safari. You will enjoy views around Arusha town on the way to your hotel where you will check in.
On the 1st day of your 4 days Ngorongoro tour, you will have an optional visit to Arusha national park depending on the time of your arrival. You will enjoy a wildlife viewing experience close to town and see wildlife species such as hippos, buffalos, bushbucks, giraffes, warthogs, antelopes, zebras, black and white colobus monkeys among others. Dinner and overnight will be at Tulia boutique hotel and spa.
Day 2; drive to Ngorongoro conservation area
Starting your day with breakfast, you will proceed to your next location on the itinerary of you Ngorongoro tour which is the Ngorongoro conservation area. This national park is famous for its large caldera known as Ngorongoro crater which was formed as a result of collapse of an active volcano. This destination is part of the northern tourist’s circuit which also consists of other wildlife viewing destinations such as Serengeti national park.
You will enjoy exploring the Ngorongoro crater rim during your 4 days Ngorongoro tour and then return to your lodge where you will spend the rest of the evening at leisure. Dinner and overnight will be at Rhino lodge.
Day 3; Ngorongoro crater
After having breakfast at your lodge, you will descend to explore the Ngorongoro crater as you experience more of your 4 days Ngorongoro tour in Tanzania. You will see various wildlife species in the crater such as the big five which includes elephants, rhinos, buffalos, lions and leopards.
Other wildlife species which you will see during your 4 days Ngorongoro tour include wildebeests, zebras, hippos, gazelles, antelopes, waterbucks, cheetahs among others. You will also visit Lake Magadi during your wildlife viewing experience in Ngorongoro crater. Various bird species such as flamingos can also be seen along the shores of the lake. Dinner and overnight will be at Rhino lodge.
Day 4; departure
On the last day of your 4 days Ngorongoro tour, you will have breakfast and then your guide will drive you back to Arusha which will bring your Tanzania safari to an end.
