3 Days safari to Tarangire, Ngorongoro, and Lake Manyara is a short Tanzania safari that will start and end in Arusha. The safari will give you an opportunity to visit the three interesting national parks in the northern safari circuit that is Tarangire national park which is famous for harboring large herds of elephants and other animals like hippos, impalas, buffaloes, greater and lesser kudu, birds, different tree species such as baobab, acacia among others, visit Ngorongoro conservation area which is famously known for harboring abundant wildlife species including the big five mammals, bird species vegetation types and the attractive Ngorongoro crater which is the world’s largest unbroken volcanic caldera that is 19nkm wide, 2000 feet deep and 264 square kilometers surface. During the safari you will also visit Lake Manyara national park which is the smallest national park in the northern circuit situated at the floor of the Great Rift Valley. The national park is popular for harboring the tree climbing lions and other animals like elephants, bushbucks, hippos, wildebeest, zebras, klipspringer, buffaloes, leopards, different bird species among others.

Detailed itinerary
Day 1 of the 3 days safari to Tarangire, Ngorongoro crater and Lake Manyara
Pick up from Arusha to Tarangire national park, on the first day of the 3 days safari to Tarangire, Ngorongoro crater and Lake Manyara you will have breakfast and then your driver guide will pick you up from the lodge, give you a short briefing about the safari and then start driving to Tarangire national park. The journey takes about 2 hours drive and on the way you will have great views of the Maasai villages, homesteads, landscapes, views of Mount Meru among others. Upon arrival you will check into the lodge for early lunch and then prepare yourself for an afternoon game drive in the park which will be done following different game tracks with a professional driver guide. During the game drive you will be able to have incredible views of the baobab trees, large herds of elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, waterbucks, bushbucks, warthogs, bird species, acacia tree species among others. After the interesting game drive you will drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Transfer from Tarangire national park to Ngorongoro crater
After breakfast on the second day of the 3 days safari to Tarangire, Ngorongoro crater and Lake Manyara you will carry your lunch box, check out of the lodge and meet up with your driver guide to transfer to Ngorongoro conservation area. The conservation area was established as a multi land use area where wildlife co-exist with the nomadic Maasai. Upon arrival you will have a stopover at the gate where you will have fascinating views of the landscape, the crater floor and then go for a game drive where you will descend down into the Ngorongoro crater through the forests at the crater wall and once you reach the crater floor you will have stunning views of different wildlife species including the big five mammals which are lions, leopards, buffaloes, elephants and black rhinos, other animals like zebras, gazelle, wildebeest, waterbucks, cheetahs, hyenas, view colorful bird species, take pictures among others. You will have lunch at the crater floor and then proceed with the game drive to Lake Magadi an alkaline crater lake in the eastern part of Ngorongoro crater that offers spectacular views of hippos, bird species like lesser flamingos among others. After the game drive you will drive to the lodge, have dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Transfer from Ngorongoro crater to Lake Manyara national park
On the last day of the 3 days safari to Tarangire, Ngorongoro crater and Lake Manyara, you will have breakfast, carry your lunch box and check out of the lodge to transfer to Lake Manyara national park which is located at the base of the eastern rift valley escarpment. Upon arrival you will check in at the gate and go for a morning game drive where you will be able to view animals like elephants, buffaloes, zebras, giraffes, waterbucks, impalas, leopards, cheetah, bohor reedbuck, dik dik, banded mongoose, primates like baboon, blue monkeys, bird species like flamingos, crowned eagle among others. After the game drive you will have you lunch and then start the journey to Arusha where your driver guide will either drop you off at the airport for your departure flight or drop off at any place of convenience.
