Detailed itinerary
Day 1 of the 3 days safari to Ngorongoro crater and Lake Manyara national park
Pick up and transfer to Ngorongoro conservation area, depending on your location which will either be a hotel in Arusha or Arusha airport on the first day of the 3 days safari to Ngorongoro crater and Lake Manyara national park, you will be picked by our driver guide who will brief you about the safari and then start the journey to Ngorongoro conservation area in the northern part of Tanzania. The journey takes about 3 hours drive and on the way you will have breathtaking views of the landscape, Masai villages, farmlands, homesteads among others. Upon arrival in the conservation area you will check into the lodge and have lunch,
Afternoon game drive, after lunch you will go for an afternoon game drive in the Ngorongoro crater which is the world’s largest inactive, unbroken and unfilled volcanic caldera that covers an area surface of 264 square kilometers. During the game drive you will descend down the crater through the lush forests to the grassy crater floor where you will have spectacular views of different bird species, animals such as elephants, buffaloes, black rhinos, zebras, hartebeest, gazelle, waterbucks, elands, impalas, wildebeest, predators like lions, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas among others. After the amazing game drive you will drive back to the lodge for an evening relaxation, dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Morning game drive and transfer to Lake Manyara national park
Morning game drive, after an early breakfast on the second day of the 3 days safari to Ngorongoro crater and Lake Manyara national park, you will meet up with your driver guide to go for a morning game drive in the Ngorongoro crater where you will be able to view animals when they are most active. During the morning game drive you will have beautiful views of the sunrise, view different animals grazing in the open plains with due, predators looking for a hunt and continue to Lake Magadi an alkaline crater lake where you will be able to view many lesser and grater flamingoes and animals like hippos which will be seen in water, black rhinos, elands, gazelle, lions, jackals among others along the lake shores. After the morning game drive you will drive back to the lodge for lunch.
Transfer to Lake Manyara national park, after lunch you will check out of the lodge and meet up with your driver guide to transfer to Lake Manyara national park which is the smallest national park located at the floor of the eastern rift valley escarpment. Upon arrival you will go for an evening game drive in the park where you will get an opportunity to view the tree climbing lions lying up in the acacia trees if you are lucky, view other animals like elephants, wildebeests, buffaloes, zebras, giraffes, primates like blue monkeys, baboons, different bird species like flamingos among others. After the game drive you will drive to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Morning game drive and departure to Arusha
Morning game drive, after an early breakfast on the last day of the 3 days safari to Ngorongoro crater and Lake Manyara national park, your driver guide will pick you up from the lodge to go for a morning game drive where you will view animals like elephants, buffaloes, zebras, giraffes, waterbucks, impalas, klipspringer, leopards, cheetah, bohor reedbuck, dik dik, banded mongoose, baboons, blue monkeys, bird species like flamingos, crowned eagle, views of the sunrise among others. After the morning game drive you will return back to the lodge for lunch.
Departure to Arusha, after lunch you will check out of the lodge and meet up with your driver guide to transfer to Arusha. You will have stunning views on the way and upon arrival your driver guide will drop you off at the airport for your international departure flight or drop off at any place of convenience depending on your schedule.
