Detailed itinerary of the safari

Day 1: transfer from Nairobi to Masai mara national reserve

On the first day of the safari you will be picked from your hotel in Nairobi after an early morning breakfast, your drive will brief you about your safari and embark on your journey to masai mara national reserve which is a drive of approximately 6 hours’ drive along Nairobi- Nakuru highway. Upon reaching the park you will check into your lodge, have lunch and in the afternoon you will go for a short game drive. Masai mara national reserve is one of eighth wonders of the world and a home to many wildlife species such as wildebeests, zebras, gazelles, antelopes and many more. As you drive through the park you will enjoying sighting these animals through the short savannah grassland, after the game drive you will drive back to your lodge, have dinner and stay overnight.

Day 2: hot air balloon and game drive

On the second day of the safari you will wake up early in the morning for morning breakfast and head to the park for a hot air balloon with your packed lunch, hot air balloon experience is great opportunity for enjoying eye views of animals in the plains of masai mara national reserve and if you are lucky enough you can enjoy getting an Ariel view of the river crossing of wildebeests cross mara river. This activity takes approximately 2-3 hours and at lunch you are to have a picnic lunch in the bush of Masai mara reserve and in the afternoon you will have a game drive in the plains of the park where you will see many animals such as wildebeests, lions, leopards, gazelles, antelopes, hartebeests and many more. The after the game drive you will drive back to your lodge, have dinner and stay overnight.

Day 3: morning game drive and transfer back to Nairobi

On the third and last day of the safari you will wake up early have breakfast, checkout of your lodge and drive to the plains of Serengeti national park for an early morning game drive where you see many animals in large numbers most especially around Mara River as the wildebeests prepare to cross. After the game drive you will exit the park and head back to Nairobi, on your way you will make a stopover in Narok town for lunch and when you reach Nairobi you will either be dropped off at your hotel or be transferred to the airport for departure thus the end of the safari.
