14 Days Selous and Northern Tanzania Safari : 14 Days Selous and Northern Tanzania Safari is a long Tanzania safari tour that takes you to the most sought after northern Tanzania circuit Tanzania national parks and the southern Tanzania, taking you to the most sought after Tanzania wildlife safari parks. This 14 Days Selous and Northern Tanzania Safari takes you Tarangire National Park, Ngorongoro Conservation Area, Serengeti National Park, as well as the magnificent Selous Game Reserve now known as Nyerere National Park which is famous for among others hosting a number of African wild dogs. This 14 Days Selous and Northern Tanzania Safari also takes you to the foothills of the Kilimanjaro Mountain where you shall be amazed by the views of the Kilimanjaro Mountain, the highest mountain in Africa and highest free-standing mountain in the world.
Day 1: Arrival
Your guide will pick you up from the Kilimanjaro International Airport and welcome you for your safari. You will have a short briefing about the safari and drive to your hotel in Arusha where you will spend the night stay.

Day 2: Drive to Tarangire national park, Game Drive
You will have breakfast at your hotel as you prepare to drive to Tarangire national park which is also found in the northern part of Tanzania. Tarangire national park is known for having large herds of elephants as well as ancient baobab trees.
You will check in at your lodge in Tarangire national park as you prepare for lunch and also an afternoon game drive. During your game drive in the national park, you will search for wildlife species such as gazelles, impalas, zebras, waterbucks among others as well as the various bird species which this national park is known for. You will enjoy watching the sunset in the wilderness of the national park and your guide will drive you to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Walking Safari in Tarangire National Park
After a sumptuous breakfast at the lodge, you shall head out for a guided walking safari in Tarangire National Park. This an activity that shall bring you up-close with nature and animals in Tarangire National Park, all in the guidance of a ranger guide and your tour guide. Enjoy your lunch in the wild over a picnic. Have a game drive yet again, and then return to the lodge. Relax as you wait for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater Drive
Breakfast will be served at your lodge as you prepare for your transfer to Ngorongoro conservation area. You will descend into the crater with your packed lunch which you will enjoy in the wilderness, and you will visit Lake Magadi which is found in the center of the crater. You will also search for various wildlife species such as elephants, rhinos, buffalos, lions, leopards, cheetahs, wildebeests, zebras as well as flamingos along the shores of Lake Magadi.
As you enjoy the beautiful scenery of Ngorongoro, your guide will proceed to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: Drive to Serengeti national park, Game Drive
After breakfast at your lodge, your guide will drive you to Serengeti national park which is also located in the northern part of Tanzania. You will enjoy searching wildlife species such as the big 5 (elephants, lions, leopards, rhinos, buffalos) during your safari in the national park.
You will have lunch after checking in your lodge in the national park. You will also engage in an evening game to see wildlife species such as zebras, lions, buffalos, elephants, giraffes, elands, impalas, antelopes among others. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.

Day 6&7: Full day in Serengeti National Park (Central Serengeti)
You will start your day with breakfast at your lodge in Serengeti national park as you prepare for your morning game drive. You will also enjoy seeing a variety of wildlife species which are very active during the morning and can be seen grazing around the national park.
After your morning game drive, you will have lunch and later engage in another game drive and enjoy looking out for wildlife species grazing in the open savannah of Serengeti national park like elephants, giraffes, cheetahs, impalas, gazelles, buffalos, elands, antelopes, zebras, wildebeests, hippos among others. You will have dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.

Day 8: Drive to Arusha, Arusha Cultural Tour
After breakfast at your lodge, you will check out of the lodge and continue your drive to Arusha with lunch enjoyed en-route.
You will later drive around Arusha to experience the town and to interact with the locals and also visit the local market, the art and craft centers and the museums. Dinner and overnight will be at Tulia Boutique Hotel and Spa.
Day 9: Materuni Waterfalls Visit (Kilimanjaro Mountain)
After breakfast, proceed for a Materuni Waterfalls visit in the Kilimanjaro area where you shall enjoy amazing views of the Kilimanjaro Mountain and a number of attractions including the Materuni waterfalls. Lunch will be enjoyed in the locality. Return to Arusha for Dinner and an overnight stay as above.
Day 10: Serval Wildlife Visit, Fly to Dar es Salaam (Own Booking)
Leave the lodge after breakfast for a Serval Wildlife Sanctuary visit for a chance to play and feed wildlife like giraffes and more. Enjoy a picnic lunch here.
Proceed for a flight to Dar es Salaam. Upon your arrival, you will be met and transferred to the hotel for check in. Enjoy lunch, and get to relax at the hotel. Dinner and an overnight stay the Holiday Inn.
Day 11: Transfer to Selous Game Reserve, Boat Cruise
On the first day of the safari your safari guide shall pick you and transfer you to Selous Game Reserve. Selous is quite a distance so you will arrive by mid-day and on arrival and after lunch; you will go for a boat ride in the Rufiji River. Crocodiles, hippos and hippos can be seen here as well as other animals as they converge to quench their thirst. Crocodiles take advantage to hunt their prey and you might be treated to sights of animal action if lucky. Overnight atSelous Kinga Lodge.

Day 12: Game Drive in Selous Game Reserve (Nyerere National Park)
After early breakfast, proceed for game drive with picnic lunch. Enjoy the scenic views of the Selous Game Reserve, and spot more animals that you may have otherwise missed. Selous is roughly the size of Switzerland with unexploited African wilderness and rolling savanna plains. Look out for various animals including African Wild Dogs, herds of elephants, giraffes, among so many others. Enjoy your picnic lunch in the wilderness and then look out for more wild game as you drive to your lodge. Dinner and overnight stay as above.

Day 13: Game Drive in Selous, Walking Safari Experience
Head out early for an early morning game drive for a chance to see those nocturnal animals as they return from their nightly hunt. Return to the lodge thereafter, enjoy breakfast and spend the rest of the day relaxing at the lodge as you wait for lunch.
Later in the late afternoon hours, you shall enjoy a guided walking safari through the plains of the park, for an opportunity to come up-close with nature and wildlife. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge as above.

Day 14: Morning Game Drive, Departure
Wake up to an early morning in the park for an opportunity to see more wild game in the park. After your breakfast, with your packed lunch embark on a transfer to Dar es Salaam from where you shall arrive in time for your flight or dropped off at the lodge, bringing your 14 Days Selous and Northern Tanzania Safari to an end.
